I see there is not much tennis activity in this forum, and since ive been doing pretty well in this sport lately im opening the thread....
Be advised that im not owning the thread to myself, so if anybody have a pick, feel free to write it down.

So the first two picks....both 27/2

David Ferrer vs. Robin Soderling
Fair odds for Soderling who after losing to Simon in Marseille had a week off to come to his strenghts and perform in Dubai. IMO this will not be a easy match as also Ferrer in is good form, but 3-0 in h2h mentioned rest gives an edge for the Swede to progress to the next round in Dubai.
Robin Soderling @ 1.76

Gilles Simon vs. Philipp Kohlschreiber
Very good odds for this early bet. Both have played on wednesday and Simon retired in this match which was dominanted by the German. A nice one for the on ball bookie, as the condition of the Frenchman is questionable (Pinny, 5Dimes)
Philipp Kohlschreiber @ 1.84

started betting on tennis last year...was doing honestly not great but not bad either....the best thing is to ask happygooner....he knows the history....but last week was nothing short of great - thats the only reason for posting - would not done so if i was cold

Passion...heh admit its not my fav sport...but with given info and following the tournaments you could get some good insights to find the edges. And always need to have a good gut feeling about the match to put the money down.

Books - well as im from Europe im using almost always the Euro bookies for this bets - but the odds that Pinny had for these two matches will IMO go down (Soderling atm at 1.72, and Kohleshreiber at 1.806)...so had to take them early....

Florent Serra vs. Jonas Bjorkman
Wasnt so sure about this bet, as both players are in bad shape. Anyway Serra had an encouraging match vs. Djoko and also looking at the Bjorkmans statements, he seems more focused on the doubles play here in Dubai, as he is eager to play for the first time together with Tommy Haas.
Florent Serra @ 1.63 Pinnacle

Feliciano Lopez vs. Chris Guccione
Guccine yesterday played in qulis and lost in three sets vs. Moodie 6-4 5-7 6-7, and qualified for the tournament as a LL. I believe he must be tired after that match. Lopez well in pretty bad shape but IMO he should have an edge over Guccione as he is rested. At the odds at even this one is IMO worth a punt

Paul Goldstein vs. Julien Benneteau
IMO a very nice value for the American player. Lets be honest, they both suck when it comes to servis, and they were both torn apart by the Querey in straight sets (Goldstein in San Jose and Benneteau in Memphis) - so they didnt stand a chance vs. a good server. Also Goldstein looked pretty good vs Delic who then gave the hardest match of the tournament to later winner of Memphis - Tommy Haas.
Also Goldstein was a semifinalist here last year, so if there is tournament to jump over the first round maybe this is the place to do so.
Paul Goldstein @ 2.50 (small stakes)

Tim Henman vs. Nicolas Mahut
"Henman has not played since October due to knee problems and was forced to postpone his scheduled comeback in Rotterdam last week because of flu."
So a bet for the one ball/one set book. If the England veteran is healthy he should kick Mahuts ass but if he isnt fully recovered and is forcing himself to play... well the money should be won.
Nicolas Mahut @ 2.55 (now has fallen down to 2.20 when i last checked, but couldnt post earlier)

Stefano Galvani vs. Jan Hajek

A huge value for the Hajek. Well basically hes got some health issues and forfeited the last match in Aussie open...but heck that was one month ago..btw he also forfeited the match on october 2006...so this bet will be made on the bookie that gives an interupted match a void - 10bet does it for me.
Okay reason for the bet..in 2006 those two met on clay and Italian player succeeded to get only three games, and that infront of the Italian crowd...
This year both players are basically crap...so with the h2h in his hand and hoping that he is in condition to play a healthy game...IMO a great value and a good bet
Jan Hajek @ 3.77

both low stakes
